Favorites

We're having a stormy, rainy and gray weather again. And when I say stormy, it's not just wind and rain, it feels like the roof was just about to fly off any minute. We also chased our garden furniture in middle of the night in pouring rain around the back yard. I am not complaining though, this is definitely not life-threatening, just a bit depressing. But it also gives the most wonderful excuse to stay in, sip some tea and read.

I have had too little time to read lately, and when I am tired, I usually just put on a DVD. But this weekend I am definitely staying in and reading. I have a few favorites I keep reading again and again, and I would love to share you a little list. I also would love to hear from your favorite books and authors so I could find new favorites, so please share! I wish you the happiest weekend and hot tea with these (and they're not in any order, just listed with links if found):
and many, many more, these just came to mind this gloomy morning (many murders I must say) - in sunny morning the list may have been little different?

See you on Monday again!

The birdies are so cute. You felted those with just one needle?

Dear Glenys,

My needle felting tools include many different sized single needle and one tool with three needles and one bigger tool with five needle to get started. But mostly yes, with one needle only :)

Happy weekend!

Mia

Hi Mia, I tried to leave a comment on this post a while ago but sometimes blogger just doesn't like me :(

I'm a big John Irving fan, although 'A Prayer for Owen Meany' is my favourite and as for Peter Hoeg's 'Miss Smilla's Feeling For Snow', I love that book so much my cat (now and old lady) is called Smilla.

Not sure if you've read any Douglas Coupland books? He would be someone I'd recommend.

Hi Beth,

I have had some problems leaving comments too, "error" comes up :( but it's been only temporary issue. I hope you'll be able to leave comments in future!

How great that we like some of same authors! And a big kiss to Smilla :) And no, I am not familiar with Douglas Coupland, but I am going to check him out tomorrow when I visit the library for weekend, thank you so much!

Have a happy Thursday!

Yours,
Mia

This time of the year...

Usually around this time, when children go back to school, and you can just about to smell the autumn, I start to dig deeper in my fabric...
