Do you see the light?

I am feeling a little down after a great start I got for November. The weather is not great, the roads are very slippery, the house needs cleaning, I feel tired - great. It's just this darkness I suppose, it takes time to adjust myself to this and especially after a wonderful, sunny and hot summer we had. I am still using the color-therapy strongly, and took the other strong medication in use today: the first Christmas light went up!

This afternoon we'll have a first Christmas-meeting (me, my sis and our mom) and it should help this November-blaah. We'll make gifts-lists: who-what-whom? and food-lists: whomakes-what-when? and there will also be lists for other essential preparations like: pickuptheroast-what-day-who? My little nephew will there too, and he actually is not that tiny any longer and he awaits Christmas already. We will definitely have some mullet wine (without the vine), too.

I'm feeling better already - light to your day, too!

Well that put a light in my day too Mia, thank you! It's the most foul day here, gale force winds, rain and dark, your snow sounds better than this-LOL
How exciting to have your gifts get together, what a great idea. I am meeting my oldest friend Karen today and then I will start some of my shopping too...retail therapy I think.
Sending you light happy wishes,
Love Jane x

Aww Mia I'm sending you some of the sunlight that is streaming in through my window at the moment.
I'm sure you'll have great fun this afternoon with your mum, sister and little nephew, the excitment a child brings to Christmas is great!

Thank you, Jane, I just needed that extra bit of light today! I also did some therapeutic shopping :) Found something pretty to complete the set of (your)bracelet and the shawl I am making. Lovely!

Have a great evening and I'll see you still tomorrow and then it's the weekend again!

Yours,
Mia

Thanks, Viv!

We haven't had sun for days (at least it feels like that!) so I can definitely use all you can spare :)

Have a great day!

Yours,
Mia

I love this light so much! One of my favourite things is the variety of lights in people's windows and homes at this time of year - so cheering and cosy. Love the little birdie too.

Thank you Helen, I love it too! I got it from Ikea years ago and found the birdie in a crafts show and added it some years later. The light of this is amazing, we quite often use it as only light in our livingroom.

Have a beautiful weekend!

Yours,
Mia

That light has made my day Mia. Things are changing here and that's making me feel unsettled. Although we've had sunshine I still need something more - this weekend I'm going to try to make something similar for myself.
Have a great weekend.

Hi Pam!

I needed more light here too, and that wreath just has so beautiful light.

I am feeling much better already but huh, this darkness just gets me every year...

Happier and brighter weekend!

Yours,
Mia

This time of the year...

Usually around this time, when children go back to school, and you can just about to smell the autumn, I start to dig deeper in my fabric...
