Sunglasses needed

I have noticed, that many of us bloggers (and especially Christmas-lovers) have had great difficulties adjusting ourselves back to normal life and facing this dull January. These fun and inspiring awards have offered some help but best of all have been my dear friends! In real life and on-line (is there a difference these days?) who design and make so wonderful things that one cannot do anything but admire, smile and... You guessed it, take home.

Pink is my number one cheer me up-color! Just take a look at that prettiness! Who could care less of snow/rain/wind/grayness/January/anything wearing all that? I know, it's a lot pink but Finnish winter calls for extreme actions!

Like double-bling-pink-thing. Oh yes.

Or the diamond (read: shiamond) so large you need sunglasses while wearing it (even here in North Pole I mean Finland ).

And it all starts with pretty underwear? Here in Finland it all starts and ends with pretty socks, woolen socks that is. My dear friend knows I definitely cannot use any socks, they need to be pink too.

***

I am feeling so much better with all this! Try it (and it can be any color as long is not black-gray-dark brown) and I guarantee you'll feel the spring! I think I heard the birds singing today while visiting the Post office. Or maybe it was just my shiamond-blinging? Either way:

Shiningly superb weekend, everyone!

Yours,
Mia

P.S. The wonderful heart-bracelet is by Jane, the most beautiful corsage is by Viv, the pink scarf and the woolen socks are by Piia and the bag is by Esprit (and so me but also so-last-last-last-season). And last but not least the other bling-bracelet is by Nomination. Some were gifts and some I purchased myself. Thank you darlings, you have made my day so many times!

Wow, Mia! I LOVE all your beautiful new pink things - they would cheer me up too on a grey day! I've been wearing a pink jumper I knitted recently, and it is definately a cheering colour. Enjoy your weekend! Helen x

Hi Lisa,

I use blue-white-gray clothes all year round but I have a soft spot for pink accessories :)

Happy weekend!

Hi Helen,

Pink is just so happy color, it makes everyone smile, and that's what we need in a gray day! Pink sweater sounds lovely!

Whoa Mia, that's a lot of pink!!!
I have to admit I'm not a pink girl. I'm quite earthy with my greens and browns but I do like a touch of duck egg blue!
I do know though that you love your pink, Jane's bracelet is very pretty and I love the socks, they look very cosy!
Have a wonderful weekend Mia and thanks for the little mention. :)

Mia my dear you always manage to make me smile...I do think laughter is also the key to feeling happy and I try to make sure I laugh every day...sometimes it can even just be Billy lying upside down...he is such a funny boy. I know how much your love your pink and thanks for the mention in your post ..I am so glad you like your bracelet...do you know I have worn your wonderful snowman scarf EVERY day since I got it and it makes everyone smile (including me).
Have a great weekend ;0)

Hi Viv,

I know not everyone is a pink-fan (and I think I actually am a bit too old for it sometimes but then after some reconsideration NOT) and I think there's a cheer-up color for everyone. You got mine just right with that wonderful brooch :)

Have a great weekend (oh yes, it's here again!) and may it be sunny also!

Yours,
Mia

Hello Jane,

I am so happy you liked the scarf! And I also agree that smiling and laughing are the key-ingredients to happiness but a bit pink also helps ;)

Have a wonderful weekend and give a big kiss to Billy, just seeing his picture makes me happy - I still smile the one where he's at C-table where he just shouldn't be!

Yours,
Mia

I love it too, Shanti! Made by my dear friend and mohair and my favorite color...It just doesn't get better than that!

Happy weekend!

Those socks are wonderful colours, pink and green, one of my favourite colour combos! And your chicks sitting on each other on your bag, from your previous post, are adorable! Love Vanessa xxx

You're right of course, it's not the actual colour that matters, it's just a case of finding the one that cheers you up the most! Mine changes every so often - just now it's definitely turquoise so there's a new t-shirt in my wardrobe in the perfect shade.
Lovely things in your photo's Mia - enough to make us all smile this weekend.
Hope you're having a good one too.

Hi Pam,

I am so happy you have new cheer-me-up-t-shirt! Sometimes it's just a little thing that matters, a new scarf or just right handbag (and I should know, I have MANY!) and the day looks a lot brighter suddenly!

It's cold but SUNNY here, a wonderful Sunday! Sunshine to you day too!

Yours,
Mia

This time of the year...

Usually around this time, when children go back to school, and you can just about to smell the autumn, I start to dig deeper in my fabric...
