Fishermen

This rainy summer is just perfect for fishing (and not much else), and around here we have some smaller and bigger enthusiast fishermen. And they're adorable both. It's easy to get into action too, all you need to do is walk down our home road and you have a river full of (small) fish. And when godfather leads the way, it safe too. Fishing itself is a co-operation except when a fish is caught, that's godfather job still. Some sandwiches are essential, size of the catch not so much. And when a little fisherman is so very tired when we head home, godfather's arms are a must.
Wonderful weekend!

Yours,
Mia

I know, Vivienne, he's adorable (well they both are!)... He just left our house, he was here for the afternoon and I'm exhausted... But in a lovely way.

Wonderful weekend!

Thank you Mia, for your sweet summer story! Even I hope so much you are going to have more sunshine, in your photos the rain looks very idyllic! Fishing in summer rain - I can smell the fresh nature in the village! What a great couple they look and I'm sure they enjoyed their time on a lake!
Should I try what 'Holmolaiset' did and put sunshine in a box and send it to you? At least they carried light from outside to have inside at home!
Happy weekend to you my friend!
x Teje
PS. My sister goes tomorrow to Savitaipale from England, I wish I could be there, too!

Hello Jane,

They're the cutest, aren't they - the little and slightly bigger one :)
Thank you so much for the sunshine, it did work wonders today, it's been pretty and almost warm too. And fish...it really wasn't that big catch after all so fish fingers maybe ;)

Happy weekend!

Mia

Hello Teje,

It's nice and sunny here today but this summer has definitely been a disappointment... At least after two wonderful summers we've had. I think that hölmöläis-trick might even be worth of trying... I'll get back to you if July is as bad as June ;( - thank you for offering!

Yours,
Mia

Dear Anne,

It's July today, and sun shines, maybe this month will be better than June, weather-wise that is. I wish you're having great time, and enjoying the summer at fullest!

Yours,
Mia

Such a cute little fisherman learning how to fish with his godfather! Lovely times! I hope your weather improves (and ours too) and the sun comes out again soon!
Enjoy the rest of your week, Mia.

How cute! My Dad was a fisherman, as is my brother, I have never been fishing but would love to have a go, it seems like a great way to spend a weekend. Bethx

Hello Beth,

I used to love fishing when I was child, but there have been many, many years without it. My hb is a true fisher and now he teaches it to our nephew too - that's just wonderful!

Have a great new week soon!

Yours,
Mia

Bless that adorable little fisherman, you wait he'll be walking home with his catch before you know it! And how lovely to have somewhere to fish so close by :D

I know, he's just the dearest trying everything his father and his godfather do :)

Wishing you sunny July-days (it rains here again and again and...)!

Mia

This time of the year...

Usually around this time, when children go back to school, and you can just about to smell the autumn, I start to dig deeper in my fabric...
