December 18th

Christmas - what a great excuse to enjoy all thing wonderful! Like chocolate, which we might have started finished a few boxes already, and I really need to get rid of the evidence re-cycle the empty boxes. Hmmmm...

Enter the pretty (snowman)wrapping paper, scissors and double-sided tape! I remember making this in my childhood, we used to make these keepsake boxes around the holidays...

...this time it is for less special yet very important things, especially this time of the year: the tealights! Happy, quick and easy project. If only I had more boxes to decorate...  *nom-nom-nom* soon I will...

Happy 18th!

Yours,
Mia

P.S. The Christmas-giveaway still on here until the 19th! Welcome!

Oh yes, I did that when I was a little girl.....only difference is that the paper was Japanese Washi paper.
How fun!

Such a cute little storage box, Mia! Sometimes we need reminding of these sweet and simple crafty ideas! I am going to save all my chocolate boxes (there will be a few!!) this xmas and turn them into lovely storage boxes like this!
Wishing you a wonderful countdown to Christmas!

Beautiful Mia! I just wish that I could run to City-Market to buy lots of Fazer's boxes! They are the best and your snowman paper makes them perfect! Please eat some Finnish chocolate for me, too! x Teje

Hi Megumi,

I think we used all sort of papers and sticker as children too, I think I even had one I had drawn the pictures myself. The most important boxes were kept under the bed :)

Happy day!

Mia

Hello Robin,

This was the quickest ever craft, and I am thinking to make a few more for my Chtistmas-cards and the smallest tree-decorations!

Have a lovely day!

Hi Wendy!

I didn't remember this for years either, I would say it's been more than 30years since I last made one box like this :)

Happy crafting!

This time of the year...

Usually around this time, when children go back to school, and you can just about to smell the autumn, I start to dig deeper in my fabric...
