A missed month

Huh, the very last day of January already? I have missed an entirely month of blogging, and I apologize. My days have been so so so busy, and somehow it has just have been easy to push starting a little further - and then it suddenly is too dark for pictures again. Oh my, but here we are now. Days are a little longer and lighter, and birds are singing like crazy. January has been a very mild compared to past years so no complaints there. But still I am welcoming February with opens arms, spring will be a tad closer. On crafty-zone things started quite slow 2015 - until I found the fabric that has been inspiring me this whole month.

It is a happy animals-print with little foxes, hedgehogs, squirrels and pretty trees with birds plus some flowers and toadstools. Such a pretty find! And it has been used this month to create a

happy squirrel phone-pouch! And then there was a cute fox-bag

and then an another bag followed...

... filled with happy animals inside too! And you know me, once I get it going, there is no way stopping. A smiling fox/suspicious mushroom-inspecting bird-pouch was born, and it was

followed by a happy hedgehog

and finally I made a teeny-weeny coin purse

Phew!

I think I am turning my attention next to a bunch of bunny-babies that were born last weekend; there are some skeins of springly-colored smohair in my stash waiting for dress-knitting. But before that I just might need to make a few happy-animals keyfobs. I know, it is a condition.

What have you been obsessed interested in this month?

Lovely last day of January, all!

Yours,
Mia

Hello sweet Cheryl,

Happy to see you here, and sorry for my slow phase on blogging, January is so dark and gloomy here, and without happy pictures it seems pointless to blog... Excuses I know but I know it will get better once spring breaks!

Have a wonderful February, may it be sunny and beautiful! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY already!!

Mia

Hello Mia

I love the fabric and how is has influenced your work, so many cute foxes!! I wouldn't worry about not blogging for a month, I've not written for over two now - eek! - I think it's that time of year, everyone takes a little while to hide after the Festive season. Roll on spring! Bethx

Hello Beth,

Thank you for the supportive comment about blogging, it has definitely been a slow spring (blog-wise) for me. But as the days get brighter and lighter I usually find my phototaking-mojo first and then blogging-enthusiasm follows. Fingers crossed!

Happy March!

Yours,
Mia

This time of the year...

Usually around this time, when children go back to school, and you can just about to smell the autumn, I start to dig deeper in my fabric...
