What a week

This week is an official Winter Holiday (skiing holiday we call it here) in my area, and while the skiing itself is out of the question (not enough snow believe it or not) with rainy, + degrees weather and bare land, other fun and exciting activities have been found.

We had a lovely visitor for the first ever without parents-sleep over! He arrived with a big suitcase full of toys and books and games, and bathrope for going to sauna with his beloved godfather. Such fun, and he already announced that next time it'll be for two nights...

I also gathered yet an another year *sigh* but it was worth getting older as I've been spoiled with flowers, cards, presents and happy visitors. We had chocolate mudcake (some of us had sweet potato-mash and cucumber) and other favorites. Mr. Postman has delivered happy parcels all week (the best way to celebrate: a whole week!), thank you sweet people all over the world!

I've also read (library-borrowed) magazines for new inspiration and bought some springly-colored wool, and wish to show new things to you soon. And the cherry on the cake: tomorrow is the International Women's Day and my dear sister has offered to treat me, our mom and my princess-niece with coffee and buns (cucumber for some) in a lovely coffee-shop. What a wonderful week - I could get used to all this! How's your week been?

Happy Friday, and sunny weekend soon too!

Yours,
Mia

Hi Mia, Happy Birthday (a little late, but it is better later than never, ok?
I am happy by your happy birthday week, your happy visitor and your International Women's Day.
I celebrated it ministering a bookbinding workshop.
As a librarian I loved that you borrowed some magazines from the local library. I love when libraries are apreciated.
Thanks for your updating, you always cheer me up!
A great week!

Hello Lucia,

Thank you for the b-day wishes, it's never too late, always makes me smile!

Wow, book-binding sounds great! I've tried it at school years ago and it's something I would love to try again.

And libraries - I love them! I just realized it doesn't really show here but I visit weekly and borrow almost all (99%) I read from there - they're really something I couldn't live without! A librarian, what a great occupation!!

Have a wonderful day!

Yours,
Mia

Happy Birthday Mia! I always remember yours is around now as mine is almost here too (not that I really celebrate it much, but my sister did take out for the day to the Opera in London at the weekend, which is becoming a kind of tradition and we had such a lovely day!). Looks like you had a fun holiday, I hope the thaw continues for you, we're having some beautiful sunny days here in the UK. Bethx

Hello Helen,

Thank you!

It's been springly ;) here for all week, and sun shines - and I love it! I wish it's beautiful at yours too, and your garden is blooming...

Happy week!

Yours,
Mia

Hello Beth,

Happy birthday to you too! I agree: celebrating is for those big something-0's, and not big parties needed. But Opera-traditions sounds fantastic, wow!

It's stayed mild here, sun shines ans spring proceeds - I wish it's beautiful at yours too?

Yours,
Mia

Usually around this time, when children go back to school, and you can just about to smell the autumn, I start to dig deeper in my fabric...
