I was starting to worry that we didn't get a White Christmas, so I took scissors, white printing paper and made some snowflakes. It took a while, but it was so wonderful to sit down and cut and cut and open and open - and be surprised each time of the different yet always beautiful flakes I created.
And when I went outside to take a picture of my flakes, there were many, many real ones coming from the sky! It'll probably be a White Christmas after all - inside at least if not out.
When was the last time you cut the snowflakes?

So that is a case of snow on snow then Mia ;0) How wonderful that you have both inside and outside snow. It is SO mild here....today is quite beautiful, 15oc and the sun is shining. I shall watch and enjoy your snow instead!

We definitely won't have a white one, too warm here but somehow that doesn't bother me!
I think the last time I cut out snowflakes was probably when my children were small.

I love the idea of White Christmas, Jane, but I also think that it's the feeling and spirit that counts! I would enjoy these days in rain too, but it's rather unusual to have this mild here too (only -1C today or so), last year it was that shocking -30C at this very day!

I made these also as I thought we wouldn't have any snow but now we have a bit in and out too! Trey these, they're very easy and relaxing to make (almost meditative!), and it's a wonderful to open and see what kind of flake it was this time!

My secret ;) was to use sturdier paper, just plain printing-paper, these wouldn't have worked out from silkkipaperi I think! But pretty they are and easy to make...And they make such a pretty windows!
