Color therapy

January is progressing nicely, it is the 16th already. We've had snow I wasn't hoping but was expecting, and it's little colder also but still: February is closer than December, that's all I count.

The color-palette is changing too: the brighter and more springly colors are appearing. It's not that I choose them every morning that consciously, they just jump from my shelves into my needles.

It's less than a month until the Valentine's Day. Here in Finland it's the day of friendship more than day of love (although friendship represents love on its best but you know what I mean), and I am thinking of making some hearty items. There's really no need to wait until the Valentine's Day to say I love you but it for sure gives a great excuse. I have marinated these jewelry bases (below) for months and maybe now it's time to take them out and play.

We're heading for a mini-break this coming weekend, and when we return (on Sunday 22nd) this month is almost over, and I welcome February with open arms.

Happy Monday!

Love the new bright shades Mia!
Yes January is disappearing quite quickly, I'm cleaning my way through it.
Looking forward to seeing what you create with the jewellery bases!
How brilliant having a little mini break coming up, lucky you!
Have a good week,

Hi Jane,

I am happily counting the days until February, it's so´much more spring-month to me than January!

Love your colourful flowers and bees, Mia! The lining fabrics are lovely with the bags, and it's always fun to peep inside and see what you've chosen! Hope the sun is shining for you this week.

Hello Helen,

And thank you! It's lovely to get sunshine-wishes, and I hope it'll help: it's been snowy and gray here for too long.

Wishing you a creative and happy week!

I too am working in spring colours now, funny how that happens and changes with each season. Bit jealous of your snow, my boys would love some and as it's cold here anyway it might as well snow! I hope spring arrives for you nice and early this year. Bethx

This time of the year...

Usually around this time, when children go back to school, and you can just about to smell the autumn, I start to dig deeper in my fabric...
