Seasons

When we Finns moan about long and gray winter and short summer the conversation usually turns into seasons, which are supposed to be the richness of our climate. Spring, summer, autumn and winter - all different yet wonderful in their own way is usually said. I am not absolutely sure if I would suffer greatly if in my life the changing seasons were summer-morning, summer-day, summer-evening and summer-night, but I get the point. These days the winter changing to spring gives us pure joy and hope, and I can't wait to see that change to happen.

I found this pretty Moomin fabric with all our seasons a while ago, and couldn't help making one bag for each season, there's light blue snowballs-skiing-igloo (not that Finnish, but darn cute still)-bag and

Light green all but gardening is waste of time-spring bag and

Red-blue summer-night fishing and strawberries-summer bag and last but not least

Yellow-orange autumn bag with happy berry picking and jam making. Cute as all the seasons on their own way, right? Bags can be seen more closely in my shop here.

Happy Sunday!

Yours,
Mia

Hello Teje,

I like this fabric too - I think it's one of those a bit older ones, 90s perhaps?

Hi Mia,

I'm afraid I am a fan of the seasons, I'm not sure I could live with just one all year around, but my husband would agree with you, he'd have versions of summer all the time! I LOVE the bags, how nice to have them in the perfect colours and designs for each season.

I hope you have a lovely and SUNNY weekend :)

MIa,

It was very fun to see a lot of Moomin bags. They are absolutely popular in Japan. I grew up watching the show every week. It is strange I don't see Moomins in US. Interesting...

Hello Megumi,

I think in Japan and here in Finland live the biggest Moomin-lovers - we have them absolutely everywhere around here: mugs, bedlinen, fabrics, books, clothes, candy - you name it, we have it! And on the other hand: most of the Moomins I've made have traveled to US! Strange just as you said!

Have a wonderful week!

Yours,
Mia

This time of the year...

Usually around this time, when children go back to school, and you can just about to smell the autumn, I start to dig deeper in my fabric...
