Location, location, location

Have you ever wondered why all the classy magazines have their spring/summer-collection photos taken in fancy places like Bahamas, Jamaica or Miami Beach? Well... I am sure there are a few things differently (and I am not saying better) there than in exotic place like Finland in beautiful (ha!) January afternoon. For example there's probably less...

Snow

Wind (and wind+snow)

Both models and the photographer wearing not so glam rubber boots

Blurry pictures due to snow, shaky freezing hands and foggy lens

Running after the objects supposed to be photographed (gone with the wind)

Oh dear. Maybe I just need to wait a day or two until the weather is more spring-ly. If anyone has an extra share of sunshine or otherwise beautiful days I would be interested in purchasing. Please contact me asap.

Happy Thursday (come rain or shine)!

Yours,
Mia

Hi Mia, I have just got home from my Mum and Dad's. No cheery sunshine there that I can sell you but I did find a snowdrop peeping up in their garden, that's about the best I can do for you my dear. Dull and dreary here but the temperature got up to 13c today...almost The Bahamas...no perhaps not ;0)
Keep warm, it looks SO cold still for you.

Oh dear Mia! I think you need to fly off somewhere tropical so you can photograph your creations, strickly for work purposes of course!!! ;)
We had about 10c today but damp and dismal I'm afraid.
Love the new bag!!
Have a lovely evening. :)

You should definitely be allowed a budget, which enables you to fly off to sunnier climes :0)
Love the beautiful new bag Mia.

Love your bag whether rain, snow, wind or sunshine! 18 inches of snow in Vermont and sun trying to break through, but it took all day to come! Loved your photos as always!! xoRobin❤

Keswick was almost tropical this morning at 11c - most unusual.

Hi Jane,

A snowdrop or two would cheer me up but it'll definitely take SOME time before anything will grow in our garden *sigh* as they've "promised" very cold for weekend again (-25C)... So I am just dreaming of your 13!!

Have a wonderful weekend soon!

Yours,
Mia

Hi Helen,

I actually got a few good ones too (when taken very near to our house - the wind didn't get me there) but many, many of these too :)

I am happy to make you smile!

Hello Robin!

18" is quite a lot, I think we have some 21" or so, and most of that came today :) or it feels like it.

Have a sunny day and fantastic weekend soon!

Mia

Hi Kerry!

Is all the snow gone? Wow! But I agree, it can be quite dark and gloomy if it's all gray, at least our landscape is pretty and white!

Have a good day!

Yours,
Mia

Oh dear, you sound thoroughly fed-up with it all. We have moody dark skies and rain at the moment, it has rained most of the week and doesn't look set to stop. Hope there is a break in the weather for you soon and the sun peeps through! Have a lovely weekend. Bethx

We had a tiny bit of sun and blue sky the past few days but today it's all grey and rain and Billy Windys is blowing a gale .... I think snow would be loads better than this .

Sorry to hear your gray day, Lisa :(
It's not snowing here now but it's again quite cold, -22c, huh. Spring, please!

Have a happy weekend!

Mia

Hi Mia, hope the weekend brought you a little sun, if not warmth. A glimpse of Spring here the other day - brightness, no rain or snow or ice, and a desire to start on the garden.
It didn't last long, but reminded us that this winter will not last forever!
Love the new bag,
P xx

This time of the year...

Usually around this time, when children go back to school, and you can just about to smell the autumn, I start to dig deeper in my fabric...
