Let it snow...and snow...and...

After my snow-snow-snow-everywhere-spring-nowhere post yesterday I just wanted to share a few shots around my neighborhood today. I hope these will not shock the most spring-orientated of you:

Oh dear, that was Midsummer's eve around 6 months ago. And the very same spot today:

A great consolation is that in just six more months we'll have the roses again... And look at the poor house today:

And it keeps coming... And people are running out of places to shovel it into...

But dear friends, it's not cold (it's actually only -3 or so), it's Friday, and I have the second season of Dynasty almost on my DVD already. Plus some great company and just maybe a bar of chocolate, too. Life is good!

Happy weekend, everyone!

Yours,
Mia

Oh wow!! You DO have a lot of snow!! But your house loooks very pretty among it. I loved seeing your beautiful summer roses picture and the snowy place it is at the moment - something to look forward to not too far off. Have a lovely cosy weekend, enjoying those treats! Helen x

Hi Teje!

I have candles lid again so I cannot see all the snow outside :) I wish you the greatest and craftiest weekend, I cannot see what you'll create of your felt!

Just looking at those snowy photos has given me goosebumps and the shivers. I may just have to go and unwrap a bar of chocolatey goodness myself - to help with the shock :0)

Wishing you a lovely weekend.

WOW Mia, that is a lot of snow! we didn't get a lot this week, just a lot of ice that closed the city for a day!
Enjoy your TV show and your chocolate!

With that amount of snow you need a bar of chocolate Mia or maybe more than one bar!!!
Goodness, it's up to your windows!
All I can say is bring on the roses!
Have a wonderful weekend and stay cosy,

Now Mia that is what I call REAL snow! Goodness me how deep it is, and you call -3 not that cold? Brrr! It shows how soft us Brits are with the weather. Now get out the chocolate and put on the DVD and stay cozy knitting over the weekend.
Sending spring like love your way,
Jane x

I thought of you, Viv, when I made a warning before pictures ;) so you wouldn't be too shocked, dear!

I am enjoying indoors next to fire, you too have a cozy weekend and I'll see you next week!

Hi Jane,

Officially we only :) have that 23"/66cm snow around here but it seems that in many yards there is a meter and half at least... Children love it though, and I really really like snowing more than -30C which we had around Christmas!

You enjoy your spring-ish weekend and kiss Billy for me again, please! See you next week!

Yours,
Mia

Well, I simply love it...I wouldn't mind snow and minus-degrees 365 days a year, but I guess I am THE exception- I'm SO not into sun ;)...I should definitely consider moving, though we had a lot of snow too. But it's never enough for me!

Liebe Grüße,
Maike

Hi Maike,

You definitely should visit Finland more often! I love sun as it brings light, that is what I miss most during winter.

Happy weekend!

Mia

Dear Mia, you're making me cold. Stop it ;) Hope your weekend was lovely and there is at least no more snow, chocolate is a must. Bethx

Hi Beth,

I sincerely apologize for making you shiver :)! It wasn't my intention, I just wanted to show why we're not in too springly mood here quite yet :)

Have a great new week soon!

Yours,
Mia

This time of the year...

Usually around this time, when children go back to school, and you can just about to smell the autumn, I start to dig deeper in my fabric...
